This is a story that I have written that was inspired by our unit of inquiry.
The Two Chests
Crack! went the wood on the floor. Then Otis stepped on the broken wood. The wooden floor broke and Otis went down. Then I came down. I saw Otis with a chest. Otis asked me,"what do you think is in that chest? I said,"I don't know, maybe a map?"Otis opened the chest. We saw a map, just like I thought. Otis looked at the map and it said,”Go to the sea.”Otis saw a tunnel so we went in the tunnel and Otis took a torch in case we can't see.
We went inside the tunnel but it was dark to see so we couldn't see anything. Otis used the torch that he found. We could finally see. Then I saw a light so we ran toward the light. Finally,we went out of the tunnel. We looked at the map and it also said,”go forward until you see a little cave. We went forward and we saw a little cave. When I went in a cave, I saw a key and Otis found a chest. Otis unlocked the chest with the key that I found. Then when we opened the chest, there was an old photograph of an old person inside the old house. I was shocked because I knew the person in the photograph!

This reminds me when me and my class was writing stories. I wonder if Otis was very scared or was very brave.
