I think its important to learn your mother tongue because mother tongue you can read and write in your language and you can speak with your family and relatives in your own language. I also think its important because when you're grown up, in your work you need write in your language, you need to read in your language and you need to speak in your language so if you learn it from your childhood it will be easy for you when you are a grown up. That's the reasons you should know your mother tongue.
